Jacinto "Hoss" Viramontes has been my contractor on my last two homes. He completely remodeled my master bathroom, built a laundry area and plumbed water and drainage hook-ups, completely re-tiled three bathroom floors, built an attic stairwell and floored over the space, and built a retaining wall that spanned over 40 feet and 3 feet high. He has also completed several smaller jobs for me including base-board trim work and tear-downs. I recommend Hoss completely for what ever your remodeling needs are. His attention to detail, quality workmanship and keeping his commitments to arrive and finish on time is exceptional. When Hoss gives you his word on a job, you can count on it. He makes sure that his crew is respectful of your home and he always leaves the worksite cleaner at the end of the day than when he arrives. I had an older cat that Hoss took extra effort to work around and minimize any disturbance to. I was able to go to work knowing there was no danger of the cat getting out or being traumatized. In early 2006, Mr. Viramontes was referred to me by my realtor, because my house was in desperate need of remodeling before I could sell it. Hoss came out to my home and helped me assess what work needed to be done in order to get the maximum value for my home. With his extensive experience, he was able to come up with many great ideas. He was also able to tell me which of my ideas would work before he started the project. He quickly provided me with a very reasonable estimate and a time frame for completion. With his help, I was able to completely remodel my kitchen and bathroom, rewire the garage, fix the water heater and furnace, and install new lighting in our hallway. If any problems arose, Hoss would call and explain all my options before he did anything. He was able to handle all aspects of the remodel (reframing, electrical, plumbing, etc.) It was so nice to deal with just one person and not multiple subcontractors. I was always kept informed of the current costs and any changes in schedule. He stuck to the estimate and was able to accommodate my changes along the way. He would stay late and show up early if things ever fell behind his schedule. Another pleasant surprise was the fact the he and his crew would ALWAYS clean up after themselves. Our kitchen and bathroom were never a mess even while under construction and the rest of my house did not suffer during the remodel. I have yet to deal with another construction company who does the same quality of work and is as conscientious as Mr. Viramontes. We have employed Mr. Viramontes (Hoss) on two separate occasions for periods spanning several weeks at a time. We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to secure Hoss to do remodeling and handyman work for us. He is conscientious, well organized and able to do whatever is required to achieve an excellent result. Hoss is a highly skilled and well equipped craftsman who easily identifies and overcomes the challenges of remodeling. Hoss is dependable and reliable in his scheduling, attention to detail and the management of his crew. I appreciated that he would wait on major decisions for my approval so I didn't end up with a solution that I would either have to live with or pay to redo. Hoss has a great understanding of what solutions will work and how much time and effort are required to implement them. Mr. Viramontes has provided quality construction services to our family for both residential and commercial properties. His work has included extensive carpentry, including wall framing, full window and frame replacement, door and casing replacement, and numerous renovation tasks. I live in the foothills of Los Gatos in a 50 year-old house. The house has experienced many years of storms, drought and most significantly earthquakes. The 1989 Earthquake centered in Loma Prieta was the most severe and many houses in my foothill area were damaged. I have had the good fortune to meet Jacinto Viramontes. He is a competent Jack-of -all-trades who has worked on a variety of projects at my house. 1. Two water leaks in the cement foundation 2. Redwood Deck Repair 3. Numerous plaster crack repairs throughout the house. Mr. Viramontes and his crew appeared on time and worked on the repairs in a professional manner with efficiency and dispatch. Jacinto and his crew did an excellent job repairing a water-damaged wall for the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley. He was reliable, came to look at the project within a day of being called, and recognized that WCSV was a nonprofit with very limited funds. Jacinto offered to donate his labor cost for the job and completed it in record time, saving the Center thousands of dollars.
